Finally in-person ISMRM again. Come by one of my digital posters about the impact of measured MM background signals on the quantification of short-TE MRS and GABA-edited MRS. Or learn about the impacto fo retrospective motion-compensation on GABA-edited multi-slice MRSI. [Read More]

Comparison of seven modelling algorithms for GABA-edited 1 H-MRS

Incredible work by my colleague Alexander Craven on the comparison of seven modelling algorithms for GABA-edited 1 H-MRS now published in NMR in Biomedicine! This work found that moderate agreement between 7 LCM algorthms for GABA-edited MRS extending prior findings on the agreement of LCM in short TE PRESS MRS data. Addtionally, it confirms our recent findings, that including a dedicated MM model for the co-edited macormolecules at 0.9 ppm improves overall quantificaiton in terms of the agreement between different algorithms. Happy to share this amazing work of my colleague Yulu Song implying improved quantification accuracy of GABA-GSH-edited HERMES data with linear-combination modeling compared to simple peak fitting. This work strenghtens recent consenus to employ LCM to model edited MRS data. LCM and processing was performed in Osprey and the implemeted models are freely available on GitHub using the accuarlty parametrization of co-edited MMs at 3 ppm to improve general modeling results.
